****Words in '' denote mindspeaking Wolf impatiently glanced at his watch for the third time since sitting down. What was taking Peter so long? The dark haired woman detective had mentioned something about a coffee stain and going to change. But this was ridiculous. What was his twin, a peacock? 'Hey! I heard that!' Peter's voice rang indignantly in his head. Wolf rubbed his suddenly throbbing head. Peter definetly needed to work on this mindspeaking thing. Peter sent a wordless apology through their bond. 'Never mind. Where the heck are you?' Wolf missed his brother's answer as one of the prisoners that was waiting to be processed broke out of the uniformed cop's hold and stole his gun. The man frantically waved the gun around. "Stay away from me, man!" All of the cops ran to see what the commotion was about. The officers that were already there, pulled out their guns and pointed them at the man. "Look, just put the gun down," Sgt. Broderick said calmly, "Nobody's going to hurt you." The man looked at him in disbelief, "What do you think I am? Crazy? They're all pointing guns at me!" Wolf mentally showed Peter all that was going on. He felt it when Peter recognized the man. 'That's Dereck Kellog. He's mentally unstable. I arrested him several years ago when he killed a man for looking at him strange.' He and Peter exchanged several solutions until the man interrupted them by firing a shot into the ceiling. He knew that Peter was now by the stairs on the right side of the man. The man had not yet seen him. Wolf was just about to call out a distraction when he saw the front door being cautiously opened. Oh god. What kind of an idiot would walk into a police station after hearing a shot fired? His mouth gaped open as he saw two people slowly poke their heads in. Peter?!? But it couldn't be. He was on the man's right, wasn't he? What was he doing? He quickly turned back towards Peter's last position. Peter was still crouching by the stairs with gun in hand, mouth gaping wide open. The Peter look alike and the woman were carefully trying to stay low and sneak in behind Derek. Wolf and the others were trying not to show any emotion on their faces. But Dereck saw the look on a lot of the officers' faces. They could not help their reactions. Standing next to them was Wolf, the person who they thought was Peter, however, it also looked like Peter was trying to sneak around the mentally ill man as well. Dereck turned his head and saw Tom and Cassy. Tom paused as if just noticing that everybody in the entire precinct was looking at him, and straighted up. "Ummm...mind if we join your party? We couldn't see a thing from out there." He turned to the girl beside him, "Cassy, remind me next time to ask for front row seats." The man holding the gun pointed it at Tom. "You! You're the one who sent me to prison!" Tom placed his hands palm out in front of him, "Whoa there, you got the wrong man. This is my first time in Sloanville." Wolf called out, "Actually I was the one who arrested you." The man whirled around as he heard Wolf speak. The man turned his head left and right as if he couldn't believe what he was seeing. "Which one? Which one?" Tom's mouth dropped open as he took in Wolf's face for the first time. Then it dropped even further as he saw Peter emerge on the man's blindside and kicked the gun out of the man's hand. "Ummm...actually, you could say that was me. Dereck Kellog, you're under arrest." Jody spoke in the silence that descended after the man had been led away, "Skalany, pinch me. Please tell me I'm not dreaming." Blake took his glasses off and polished them with a hankerchief, "I think I need new prescriptions. I'm not just seeing double, I'm seeing triple!" Wolf, Peter, and Tom stepped closer to each other. Cassy looked on from the side. The resemblence was uncanny. Finally Wolf remembered the manners that Rose Gannett had drilled into him since he was a small boy. "Hi, my name is Wolf Gannett. This is my twin brother, Peter Caine. And you are?" Tom swallowed hard. This was harder then he thought it would be. He had just about changed his mind when they had pulled into the precinct parking lot. Cassy had insisted that they try considering that they had travelled all of this way. He had just been about to argue back when they had heard a shot. The shot had been the deciding factor in the decision that could change his life forever. "My name is Tom Ryan. And this is my partner Cassy St. John. We're from the Palm Beach police force." "Well, thanks for the help," Peter replied. It was unbelievable. He knew that it was said that everyone had a twin. Hell, he had found his. But a triplet? "How did you come to be in the neighborhood?" Wolf asked. "Actually, I came to see Detective Caine over here. You see, I'm looking for my real father," Tom replied. Wolf sighed and muttered, "Join the crowd." Tom looked at him puzzled. "Let me guess, his name is Kwai Chang Caine." Tom shook his head bewildered, "No, his name is Damon Caine. Do you know him?" Wolf and Peter looked at each other. Wolf read what was in Peter's mind. "Don't even say it," he admonished Peter. Peter didn't pay any attention to him. "The Caine family vine strikes again. Creep, creep, creep."
