*** Note, Tracy Lecates was used with her permission:) "You know, it amazes me that every time I've been here with you, this spot is always free." Wolf remarked to his brother as he parked in front of Delancy's. Peter shrugged. After all, what else could he say? Was it his fault that he was so lucky? Tom exited from the back as the others pulled up in Martin's car. Matthew got out with the help of his youngest son and looked at the building in front of him. "How very interesting," he said, tilting his head a little to the right. Wolf held the door open as they all entered the bar. Sitting in the far corner, munching on pretzels, were Jody, Mary Margaret, and Cassy. On their way towards them, Peter stopped to talk to a waitress who was waiting for the bartender to mix the drinks she needed. "Hey, Stacy! Where's Terry?" Stacy turned to look at Peter, "Terry? He called in with the flu earlier today, said it was so bad that he was seeing double." She lowered her voice to a stage whisper, "Personally, I think he's faking so he can spend time with his new girlfriend." "Why do you say that?" Peter asked curiously. "Because she was part of that FuFest crowd that came in yesterday, and they couldn't take their eyes off of each other." Stacy shook her head. "She kept staring at him like she wanted to drag him behind the bar and jump his bones. And him, well, he wasn't any better. He looked at her as if she was the last piece of chocolate on Earth." "So who is she?" "Well, according to Terry, her name is Tracy and she writes fan fiction for a living. She just finished a piece. Now what was it called again?" She tapped a finger on her chin. "Oh yeah, I think it was called Blood Relations or something." "Fan fiction? Fiction I've heard of: non, general, science, and historical, but I don't recall anything about fan fiction. Where does that fall in the dewy decimal system?" "Beats me. All I know is that I'm shocked that the bar didn't burn down with all the sparks those two were letting off.." "I thought that they would be pretty explosive together anyway." Stacy gave him a perplexed look. "Because of their initials, T & T. You know like dynamite, TNT?" Stacy groaned at the lame joke and shook her head. "I'll be around to get your order in a minute." Then she left to deliever the drinks the bartender placed on her tray. Peter shrugged. "Was it something I said?" he asked no one in particular. The bartender who was filling in for Terry wiped his counter. "Just don't quit your day job pal. I don't see any future for you as a comedian." "Hey!" Peter protested. "I just call them like I see them." The man left to fill someone's drink order as Peter returned to join his group. As Peter was sitting down, he heard Cassy say, "Aren't you guys sort of putting all of your eggs in one basket? I mean what if your Damon Caine no longer carries the beeper?" "Then we are...how do you say? Out of options?" Matthew replied to her question. A silence fell over the group. Jody cleared her throat and turned to Wolf, "So are you and Peter still going on that camping trip?" Wolf looked at Peter as his twin turned to look at him. "I guess so. My leave is going to end soon." He tilted his head at Peter, and Peter nodded. Mary Margaret tapped on Peter's arm. "Hey, partner, you want to include us in on your conversation?" "Hhmmm? We were just debating," he answered his partner. "Debating on what?" Tom asked. "On how you felt about camping?" Wolf replied. "Me?" Tom asked incredulously. "Yeah you. How about it? Want to do some male bonding with us?" Tom looked uncertainly at Cassy. It wouldn't be right to leave her. After all, she came to support him. "Don't worry, Tom," Jody said as she saw the indecision in his face. "We'll be doing a little female bonding ourselves, right Skalany?" "That's right. We'll be discussing strategies on how to deal with the Caine men." "Now that would be fun," Cassy said, rubbing her hands together. They all looked up at the sound of a tray hitting the floor. Stacy was staring at them. Well, more specificily at Tom, Peter, and Wolf. "Oh god, maybe Terry wasn't faking." She placed a hand on her head. "I'm not seeing double, I'm seeing triple!" Stacy picked up her tray and left. Cassy watched their waitress leave. "Thanks a lot guys. Now how are we going to order?"
