Everyone waited impatiently for Wolf to finish making the call to Damon's beeper, each of them lost in their own thoughts. After dialing a string of numbers, and relaying his message to Damon to the operator, Wolf snapped his cellular phone shut. "That's it, now we wait." They all looked at the phone in his hand, as if their combined stares would cause it to ring. Tom's face showed his uncertainty and nervousness. "How long do you think that will take?" Wolf shrugged apologeticlly. "Sorry, I don't know. Sometimes right away." He ran his hand through his hair. "Hell, I don't even know if he still carries that thing. I mean, this was before he got really good with that mindspeaking thing." Tom looked at him; what the Hell was his cousin talking about? Mindspeaking? The only time he'd encountered that term was from some of those fantasy and magic books he read as a kid. They couldn't be talking about the same thing, right? That was impossible in real life, wasn't it? "Mindspeaking?" he asked aloud. Peter took Tom's arm and sat him down. "Tom, I think this would be a good time to clue you in on some of the family heritage..." ******************************************* Ling Han Tsu surveyed what was left of the room Damon had used to hold his family prisoner. He gritted his teeth as he thought of the his ex-right-hand man. If it were not for the actions of Damon and his traitous nephew, the Sing Wah would have been victorious in that battle. If he could get his hands on those two now, he would...Tsu broke off his thought for vengence as he watched one of his men trying to rehang a tapestry. "Be careful with that, you fool!" Tsu's new right hand man, Lo Tou, came in with a cardboard box overflowing with Damon's personal belongings. "I have cleaned out that traitor's room, Master Tsu. Where should I place his items?" All of a sudden, a muffled sound was heard coming from the box. Lo Tou dropped the box. The sound came again. Beep, beep. Tou knelt down and carefully shifted through the items until he came upon the sound's source. "What is it?" Tsu asked, reaching for the palm sized black box. "It is Damon's beeper," Tou replied. "Someone is attempting to contact him." "Who is it?" Tsu asked. Tou leaned towards Tsu's hand so that he could read the display. IMPORTANT NEED TO TALK AM AT POP'S WOLF 555-1998 "It is Damon's nephew, Master." "Good, good, do you know where he is?" Tsu asked. Now they had an idea on where to find the Caines. "Yes, according to this message he is at his father's. He is probably talking about his place in Chinatown." Tou started. Tsu's hand smacked against his cheek. "What do you mean probably? You are my new right hand, why do you not know for sure? "I will get on it right away, Master." Tou replied, rubbing the sting from his cheek. "See that you do," Tsu commanded, in a firm voice, "I want those traitors dead!"
